Goal and objectives
The history of creation
The concept of creation of Socially Responsible Corporations was first announced by the President of the republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on March 1, 2006 in his Message to the people of Kazakhstan “Strategy of entering of Kazakhstan in the 50 most competitive countries of the world”. According to the Message of the President N.A Nazarbayev to the people of the country, and in compliance with the Strategy of Spatial Development, seven socially responsible corporations were created in Kazakhstan in 2007.

«Caspiy» Socially Responsible Corporation National Company (hereinafter referred to as «NC «SRC «Caspiy») was established pursuant to the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of September 17, 2007 № 407 “On measures of formation and support of the activity of socially responsible corporations «Caspiy»
"Purposes of organizing “‘CASPIY" SRC National Company” JSC:
- Promoting Mangistau Oblast economic development through state and private sectors
- Creating favorable economical environment to attract investments and innovations;
- Participating in elaboration and realization of programs intended for the regions social development as well as mineral resources exploration, mining and processing.
"CASPIY" SRC National Company" JSC Mission:
Providing the regions development via economy diversification, creating an effective system of corporative management, state assets and entrepreneurial initiative consolidation for tackling social and economical tasks.
Main Tasks of "CASPIY" SRC National Company"
- creating an effective system for state assets management;
- introducing business social responsibility principles in the regions;
- arranging competitive, export-orientated businesses on the basis of state-private partnership;
- creating favorable environment for attracting investments and introducing innovations;
- generating institutional conditions for small and middle class businesses development;
- directing gained profits to settle regional social problems;
- promotion of the economic image of the region on both internal and external markets;
- increase in performance of small and medium enterprise by means of development of cluster production and introduction of new technologies;
- rehabilitation and restructuring of state enterprises, development of new competitive process units and technologies on the base of such state enterprises;
- formation of a business projects base, financial backing of such projects and establishing conditions for their implementation.
«NC «SRC «Caspiy» will solve the problems specified above through implementation of stand-alone and joint projects, as well as through participation in the activity of the organizations transferred to «NC «SRC «Caspiy».
